New Service for Earthquake Damage

One-stop service to address earthquake damage

In the wake of the Christchurch earthquakes, Babbage staff found themselves not only assessing buildings for damage, but designing remedial solutions, obtaining consents and organising contractors for property owners.  Babbage, in partnership with quantity surveyors and well-respected contractors, has now formalised this into a one-stop service for the design and repair of earthquake damaged commercial or residential property portfolios.

Leading the initiative is Structural Engineering Principal, Dr. Victor Lam, who has been central to Babbage's earthquake response.  Babbage has undertaken over 400 earthquake damage-related projects following the Gisborne and Christchurch quakes.  To read more on this new inclusive service, click here.

Babbage is currently establishing a permanent office in Christchurch to take pressure off our site office in rural Canterbury and we hope to launch this in the near future.
