Successful Launch of The Difference

Babbage's contributions to New Zealand and beyond

On 3 November 2011 at the Voyager New Zealand Maritime Museum, Babbage launched 'The Difference' publication in front of past and present staff, clients and peers. Named after the innovative Difference Engine conceived by Charles Babbage, it is also symbolic of the added value Babbage contributes to its projects - one of the reasons the company has been in business for 75 years.

A book that covered all the interesting projects that Babbage has undertaken over the years would be a hefty tome indeed, so 'The Difference' takes readers on an overview of Babbage's work from the 1930s, choosing illustrative projects to focus on that typify the developing face of New Zealand.

Over our lifetime Babbage has had a great influence on the built environment - something that many will not be aware of. Every day tens of thousands of New Zealanders drive on roads or pass buildings and structures that Babbage has played a key part in the design of.

'The Difference' is available for FREE from Babbage - for further details of how to obtain a copy, click the link below.
