Paul Duder

Principal, Senior Project Manager

Paul’s goal is to develop knowledge that can be transferred from project to project, because his decades of experience as an engineer, project manager and project director have shown that in broad terms the engineering processes are the same, only the product is different.

Paul has worked in New Zealand and Australia in the dairy and food science sectors from the 1990s, and his background has seen him work at the “sharp end” of projects as well as at the top, overseeing project managers and taking projects from concept to completion.

He says clients come to Babbage because of the consultancy’s multi-disciplinary nature, and he says it’s the team’s experience that sets it apart – knowledge that covers all aspects of the project in what he calls the four key issues: quality assurance, client relations, guidance and mentoring.

That means starting with a concept design that meets the client’s needs, and covering costing, tendering, detailed design, procurement, financial management, project management, commissioning and project completion. At the core of that is helping the client meet their targets.

Key projects include:

  • Oceania Dairy Glenavy Stages 1 and 2
  • Synlait Milk Dunsandel Stages 1-4
  • Heinz Australia baby food processing facility
  • Dairy Farms Australia drier relocation
