New Dairy Goat Cooperative drier open for business.

PM officially opens the new $70M Babbage managed project

September 2014

The Dairy Goat Cooperative has been quietly and confidently expanding their share of the New Zealand export market in recent years. Babbage Consultants have been there with them using our vast dairy development experience to see their planned infrastructure projects through to realities.

Last week saw the official opening by Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. John Key, of their latest infrastructure project – their second milk drier. Their already replete facilities which consist of an original drier unit, a dry blend and canning unit, product development and technical quality services facilities and a can manufacturing plant. The addition of the new milk drier has the capacity to increase production of their niche infant formula by 400% and has created 20 additional jobs.

The project has taken 12 months to complete and has involved our Geotechnical and Building Services Engineers as well as our Project Managers who ensured the project was completed on time and on budget.
