Talking about smarter, sustainable house design.

June 2015

Babbage Building Biologist, Ingo Ratsdorf will be hosting a talk this Sunday 28 June at the Green Living Show. The Green Living Show celebrates its 5th year, making it NZ's longest running expo dedicated to all aspects of green living, healthy lifestyle and eco-sustainable practices.

As land and resources become scarcer and more expensive, energy usage hikes while greenhouse gas emission continues to rise, new concepts like tiny houses and words such as energy poverty appear. We increasingly hear about urban masterplanning, the Auckland Unitary Plan, intensification and increase in density. Ingo will be exploring how we can achieve affordable and sustainable houses and neighbourhoods in New Zealand and being smarter in how we design and build houses.
