Babbage working in Melbourne.

July 2016

Babbage has taken its dairy sector expertise across the Tasman and established an office in Melbourne on the city’s Southbank.

The move is part of the consultancy’s plans to expand its dairy-sector work in Australia, and Babbage has taken key staff to head the operation.

There is a need for expert knowledge and broad experience in the Australian dairy industry business.

The Babbage reputation in dairy project management is based on nearly 20 years’ experience in the New Zealand dairy sector and the combined knowledge of 40 highly skilled dairy engineers and project managers.

Australia’s largest dairy foods company, the Murray Goulburn Co-operative, has already selected Babbage to help manage its nutritional products facility in Koroit, in western Victoria.

Key Staff:

•Steve Rouse (managing director):

Steve is a senior associate within Babbage and has been part of the family for more than 15 years.

•Barry Hook (senior project engineer)

Barry is also a long serving Babbage family member with a no-nonsense, get-it-done attitude. He is well known in both countries.

•Conrad Korten (senior project manager)

Conrad has been recruited in Australia and is working on the Murray Goulburn project.

•They are supported by senior staff in New Zealand and more staff will be recruited in both countries as the business expands.
