"Where My Degree Took Me” Careers Expo
Our Ecology Team, Bioresearches, headed along to the University of Auckland’s “Where My Degree Took Me” Careers Expo, chatting with students studying Biological Sciences, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geography and GIS about where a career in ecology and environmental science could take them.
Marine Ecologist Jessica Patino-Perez and Ecologist Alisha Hart were there representing the team, sharing a little about what they do, the projects they get to work on, and what a career with our Bioresearches team can look like.
Of course, we couldn’t talk about ecology without bringing along a few surprise guests! With special permission, we had preserved specimens on display for students to get up close with, plus wildflower seed bombs to take home and plant, because why not leave everyone with a small way to give nature a helping hand too?
Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat. We loved meeting the next generation of environmental scientists and ecologists!
