Babbage delivered a multi-discipline engineering solution for Air Liquide, with a targeted site upgrade that unlocked new operational space and improved site logistics.
Babbage, in conjunction with First Principal Constructors (FPC), have successfully designed and installed the new tank farm at Air Liquide’s Penrose site.
The project required a new concrete pad for tanks, a retaining wall and stormwater improvements designed to optimise site logistics and ensure safer, more efficient truck movements for Air Liquide's production team.
The project involved a multi-disciplinary approach from Babbage with Civil, Structural and Geotech Engineers all heavily involved and led by the Project Management division. Michael Goulding, Babbage's Project Manager, said “It was a challenging job on difficult terrain, but the team did amazingly to respond to technical queries in a timely manner to keep construction progressing on site. All major milestones were achieved on schedule which is a testament to the collaborative efforts from all involved”.
