Proven performance develops ongoing relationships with clients.

The project

This project included the full scope of the site expansion to construct a 6.5T/hr Whole Milk Powder Drier, a new boiler and all associated site process services, waste water treatment and disposal requirements.

The project included all latest technology on offer from suppliers to produce the lowest $Capital Cost / tonne of product. Babbage won the contract to manage the Drier #3 project and provide process services support on a tender basis against the previous project managers.

The Protein Plant was a negotiated contract based on our performance on the Drier #3 project, where Babbage were specifically recognised by both the client and the main contractors for their contribution to the success of the project.

Risk management, quality assurance, design review processes were implemented. Staffing/operation costs were assessed against capital costs in detail, and safety management systems development for the client were all important factors which made this project successful.

Partnering and innovation

We reviewed all project innovations possible at the start of the project and those implemented have resulted in the lowest cost per tonne of product on capital and energy usage.

Two plants have since been recognised for their flexibility of product manufacture.
